9×40HQ Containers of G-Type 3D Fabric Cement Blankets Shipped to Kazakhstan, Boosting Local Irrigation Canal Lining

Recently, a batch of G-Type （3D structured fabric) cement blankets, packed in 9×40HQ containers, departed from Bemax. The shipment was first transported to Tianjin Port via intermodal logistics, then loaded onto the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan (CKU) China-Europe Railway Express – a key freight route under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) – bound for Kazakhstan. This cargo is specially customized for a large-scale irrigation canal lining project in southern Kazakhstan, aiming to address the region’s long-standing challenges of inefficient water use in agricultural irrigation.

As a high-performance new building material, the G-Type 3D fabric cement blanket stands out with tailored advantages that perfectly match the needs of Kazakhstan’s canal project:

Rapid curing and highly adaptable: Even in Kazakhstan's continental climate (with diurnal temperature variations of up to 15°C), this cement blanket can achieve initial solidification in just 8 hours and reach usable structural strength within 48 hours at room temperature. Compared to traditional concrete linings, this new type of cement blanket can shorten the construction cycle by three times, effectively avoiding delays caused by sudden drops in temperature or short-term rainfall.

Durable and water-saving: After full curing, its impermeability is 30% higher than ordinary cement materials. Field tests show that this material can reduce irrigation leakage by 15%-20%. Furthermore, its antifreeze and anti-erosion properties ensure a service life of over 20 years, thereby reducing long-term channel maintenance costs.

To ensure smooth delivery, the logistics team optimized the packaging of the cement blankets—each roll was wrapped in moisture-proof film and secured with ropes to prevent damage during long-distance rail transport. The goods are expected to arrive at Almaty Regional Railway Station in 18 days, and will then be transported by road to the project site.
